Take an Exam

  • On the Candidate Dashboard, under the Upcoming Exams section, click Start Exam


    Note: The start exam button will be enabled only 15 minutes before the scheduled time.
  • If you have not installed the Examlock Lite extension, here you will get a pop-up to install the extension before proceeding to start the exam. Please ensure you have installed and are ready to proceed with your exam.
  • Click the Click here link provided on the pop-up to install the extensions to the browser. 

     
  • Now, the Extension window opens to add the Examlock Lite extension. Click Add to Chrome

     
  • Click Add Extension to confirm, enabling your browser to be exam-ready for the fair proctoring session. 

     
    Note: You can uninstall the extension as soon as you have completed the exam. 
  • A pop-up confirmation shows up that Examlock Lite has been added to your browser. 

     
  • If any other extension is detected, ensure to disable it before proceeding. You will see a dialogue box to uninstall your other extensions. Click Uninstall if you receive the notification to uninstall another extension. 

     
  • As you click Uninstall, disable/remove all other extensions from the Extension window at the time of your exam session. Use the toggle to disable your other extensions. 

     
    Note: After completing the exam, the Examlock Lite extension will be automatically uninstalled. Also, you can follow the same steps as above to visit the extensions section and remove it after your exam. You may also enable/install your other extensions on completion of your exam.
  • Once the extension is installed. Click the Start Exam button again and proceed.
  • Review the Acknowledgement and click Okay to proceed. 

     
  • After acknowledgement, the Examination Rules appear. Review and click Next to proceed. 

     
  • Read any special instructions provided; if none are given, review the Terms and Conditions. After reading, check the box to agree to the Terms and Conditions. Then, click "Start Exam" to begin. 

     
     
  • After clicking Start Exam, the screen displays the hardware, software, browser, and network system configurations. 

     
  • Click the View Icon placed next to the Hardware Configuration heading. It shows the camera and audio functioning. Follow the displayed instructions to verify these configurations. 

     
  • Click the View Icon placed next to the Network Configuration heading. It shows the bitrate levels of the audio and video. 

     
  • Now, in the control panel, select the checkbox and click I Agree to provide consent for recording and AI/ML proctoring.
